Education Session Submissions are Live for 2026!

Submissions are due by Friday, October 31 at 11:59 PM.

Below are some additional guidelines and best practices to keep in mind.

  • No more than two proposals from any individual, company, or organization will be considered.
  • We encourage presentations that include multiple perspectives.
  • If you’re a consultant or for-profit partner, at least one nonprofit practitioner must present with you. Applications will only be considered if the nonprofit partner’s name and organization is listed. In other words, "to be determined" will disqualify your submission.
  • Please plan to cover all expenses; AFP-DC is unable to provide honoraria or reimbursements.
  • Limit your presentation to 60 minutes, including Q&A/discussion.
  • Presentation styles may be case studies, panel presentations, roundtable discussions, a moderated discussion with attendees, a lecture with Q&A, or something new and different.

Selection Process:

The selection committee is made up of AFP DC chapter leadership, education committee members, and volunteer members. Individuals who have submitted proposals or have another conflict of interest may not serve on the selection committee. All submissions are confidential.

"As part of AFP’s commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA), a diversity of topics and presenters will be a consideration for the 2026 education sessions. For AFP DC’s IDEA values, please click here.

Final selections will be made no later than November 30, 2025. We look forward to receiving your submission! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected]
